Mastering The Sea…
Sailing past this sea,
Hoping for calm sea.
Hoping to reach the destination in time,
Wondering how it would be once I reach the destination.
But how could I have known what the future held,
The sea rough as hell.
I thought to turn back, at times, but that’s not who I am,
Sometimes hoping the next morning will be calmer.
But alas, it never improved,
Rougher it got.
I lost many lives,
And lusterless, my body got.
Worn but still hopeful,
Torn but still whole.
Believing that this too shall pass,
And pushing forward now Mastering this sea!

You & Me Against the World…
As I hold you in my arms,
I know, it will be just you and me, together against this world.
You are a special one, who deserves all the best things in this world,
But sometimes I might not be able to give all that you deserve!
Often, there will be times when my duty will overpower my desires,
And in those times, I would not see you as much I would like.
You will be lonely at times, you might cry, and darkness might scare you,
But whenever fears haunt you, always remember that I will be there by your side,
Because you and me are part of the same soul, together against this world!

Let Me Fall Today…
Let me fall today
So that I learn to rise tomorrow,
Don’t protect me from the whirlwind
I promise – I won’t wither away,
Let me taste the tough and the rough, today
As mine will be an arduous journey,
Few mistakes of my own
And some of this world
But each omission, makes me an inch wise,
So let me fall today – so that I learn
And my milestones will be from the struggle of my own!

The Search…
I woke up, with you not being in my sight,
Panicked I hustled down the stairs,
Into your room to see if you were resting there,
Empty were the corners that once sounded of enchanting tunes.
I hurried to the temple of the house,
Hoping to see the devotee and the deity,
But only I found the deity dancing to the tune of our fate.
Maybe out in the meadows, where you taught me key lessons of life,
But just the cold breeze and the frozen ground.
Tired after all the hustle and restless after a limitless search.
I closed my eyes to catch a quick break.
A deep sigh, and there you were!
In my memories, fonder together,
In my soul, a part of you and your kindness,
And in my deeds, your legacy of good deeds prevails…

A Picture, I Wish to Paint…
I wished to paint a perfect picture of my life
But only dents in the paint, I saw,
Furiously, I questioned
‘Why my picture – isn’t so pretty?’,
‘Baroque I wished to paint’
‘But messy it always gets’,
‘Why life is so unfair to me!?!’
Sad, disheartened I gazed around,
I saw, the butterfly elegantly wore black spots on its wings
The tallest trees, bowed down to bear – the reap of its fruit,
Appealing Nature had its own flaws and faults
Still all were Nature’s precious – its very own,
With a new insight I looked at my picture once again
And comely – it looked!

We Believe…
In this dusty changing life of ours,
we never gave up on our belief.
When the life sang a melodious song,
we believed that, like this, it would always go on.
During a dreadful debacle,
all we did was believe and worked hard, hoping to reach the zenith.
When it was dark, rainy, and gloomy outside,
we held high the umbrella of our belief.
As life got rustier and squeakier,
the more we believed that, once again, it would turn shinier and quieter.
Finally, when the dry and barren turned green again,
all that kept us going with our head held up – was our belief.
So, we believe,
because sometimes belief can make miracles happen!
